We are seeking a results-driven Interim Assistant Hospital Manager to lead operations in a high-volume emergency and specialty hospital during a 3–6 month assignment. This role is ideal for a strong, hands-on leader who can quickly assess operations, stabilize teams, and drive efficiency in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.

What You’ll Do

Provide day-to-day operational leadership to ensure continuity of care and efficient workflows
Lead, coach, and support clinical and support department teams and leads
Optimize staffing and scheduling to maintain appropriate coverage
Identify gaps and implement process improvements for better patient care and team performance
Oversee and standardize training and SOPs across departments
Partner with leadership to drive alignment, communication, and accountability
Ensure compliance, safety, and quality standards are consistently met

What We’re Looking For

5+ years of leadership experience in a veterinary or clinical setting
Proven ability to support hospital operations and lead teams under the leadership of the Hospital Director.
Strong background in process improvement and change management
Ability to step in quickly, assess needs, and deliver results
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Comfortable in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment
CA VACSP (or ability to obtain within 60 days) or active CA-RVT license

Preferred

Emergency/specialty veterinary experience
Interim or transitional leadership experience
Familiarity with scheduling/workforce management tools
